#Shares and raw units

Thaw shows SPACEX in shares. One share converts into one SPCXx, and the page converts every on-chain amount to shares for you.

#Why wallets can show a different number

SPACEX is a Token-2022 mint with the Scaled UI Amount extension. On chain every balance is an integer in raw units; the number people read is

shares = raw × multiplier ÷ 10^9

The multiplier lives in the mint and can change on a schedule, so Thaw reads it from the market rather than assuming it. A wallet that ignores the extension shows fewer tokens than you actually hold.

#USDC

USDC has 6 decimals and no multiplier: 1 USDC is 1,000,000 raw units.

Amounts never pass through floating point on their way to the screen: the site divides integers exactly and truncates for display.
