Getting started
Quick start
This walks one order from an empty balance to a fill. Each step signs one transaction in your wallet.
1. Connect a wallet
Open the market and choose Connect wallet. Thaw lists the Solana wallets in your browser that support Wallet Standard. See Wallets.
You need a little SOL for fees and for the order bond, which comes back when your order settles.
2. Deposit
Go to Account and deposit what your order will need:
- To buy, deposit USDC.
- To sell, deposit SPACEX.
Deposits sit in your balance for this market. They are not tied to any order, so a deposit does not reveal which side you will take. See Deposit and withdraw.
3. Commit, during the commit phase
On the market page the batch clock shows the current phase. While it reads Commit phase, fill the order ticket:
- Side: buy or sell SPACEX.
- Discount: the minimum discount you accept as a buyer, or the maximum you accept as a seller.
- Size: in shares. One share converts into one SPCXx.
Choose Seal and commit. The browser makes a random salt, hashes the order, stores both on this device and sends only the hash and the bond.
4. Reveal, during the reveal phase
When the batch reaches Reveal phase, the page asks your wallet to sign the reveal. Keep the page open until it does: a commit that is not revealed in time forfeits its bond. See Reveal an order.
5. Read the result
The clear and the settlement run on their own. Your filled size and the USDC paid or received appear under Orders on the Account page, and the batch page shows the whole revealed book and where d* landed. See Read your fills.
